Synthesis of the two-day conference, “Contested Access to Land in the Philippines and Indonesia: How Can the Rural Poor (Re)gain Control?” co-organized by the University of the Philippines (UP) Third World Studies Center, the Amsterdam Institute for Social Science Research (AISSR) of the University of Amsterdam, and the UP Asian Center, held on 16–17 February 2015, at the GT-Toyota Asian Center Auditorium and the University Hotel at the University of the Philippines Diliman.
